Hello, my name is Rotem, I'm 19 and I live in Israel. Most of my original art comes from two stories I'm currently working on, one called Laurin and the other called The Forest. (although one gets significantly more attention than the other..)
Other than drawing I also play the piano since the age of 4, and recently picked up playing guitar. I love to read, especially fantasy themed books, of which my favorites are Harry Potter and The Wheel of Time.
My favorite bands are Muse, Arctic Monkeys, Metallica, Disturbed and Gogol Bordello. I've been to a Metallica concert and a Gogol Bordello concert, so two to go. :)
I currently serve in the IDF, and will be (FINALLY) released in April 23rd, 2012. COUNTING THE DAYS.

My recipe for completing digital paintings;
1. Pencil sketch.
2. Scanned, fixed line art issues.
3. black and white values.
4. Grey scale shading.
5. Painting for weeks.
6. DISCOVER THAT I'VE HAD PROOF COLORS CHECKED AND THAT EVERYTHING IS FUCKING RED.
7. exasperation and suicide.
Also, sorry for the long absence and lack of new art. I don't have as much free time as I want (and need) to draw, being in the army. :( I hope this will change soon, and there IS this one new art piece that should be finished soon, really!
Other than that, things have been looking up in the army. I've been feeling really bad about my position and my commanders but somehow things sort of fixed themselves and while I still have crap hours and crap conditions things just seem to.. suck less. :)
AND, I hate the new Jane Eyre movie. Ruins the book completely imo, which I really enjoyed.

Haha, you don't sound like a stalker, it's ok. :) I do want to continue experimenting with watercolors, but I don't have enough free time to paint at all these days, which means that when I DO have time I kinda want to stay in my comfort-zone, I guess. I hope I could go back to watercolors sometime soon though..
